The episode starts with Roan, Yuufa, a Knight, and an Assassin running the hell away from Mysts in Glast Heim. Yes, I see the inconsistency between the game and the anime.
Also, I must point out how absolutely FABULOUS that Knight looks. That earring really gives him some fashion flare.

They almost make it out of Glast Heim, up until they run into an Abysmal Knight at the gate.
Those of you who aren't neurotic recognize that "Keough" is the same guy that Yuufa and Roan were paying their respects to in Episode 1. So this whole scene is a flashback.
And the Assassin's name is actually Iruga. I blame Engrish.

Roan, Yuufa, and Iruga make it out of Glast Heim just fine. Keough, however, ends up as a silhouette skewered at the top of a spear. Never mind how the Abysmal Knight was using a sword earlier.
Behold, it's a red backdrop! Red = The color of DRAMA.

The intro plays, then the scene changes to the three merry losers killing Roda Frogs on their way to Geffen.
Yes, I know. They really could've taken Kafra teleportation to Geffen instead. The reason they're not is quite shocking...

...Because it costs too much money.
Wait a second. Roan, you sold a GOLDEN THIEF BUG CARD, and you STILL don't have enough to teleport three people to Geffen? Which must mean he really did sell it to an NPC merchant...
Roan must die. Now.

And so they finally make it to town. I immediately spot the same gay-looking Acolyte from the first two episodes, even though he apparently died.
Speaking of dead people, everyone in town looks kinda burnt. Since there aren't any GM mass monster summons in this anime, that can only mean Something Isn't Quite Right In Town.

Yuufa wastes no time in grabbing the attention of everyone (who probably have "hael plz" chat boxes up).
Sailor Moon gets pissed at not being able to sell healing items, and instead forces Roan to shop with him, even though they didn't have money a few minutes ago.
