This episode starts out different from the others. No, Roan doesn't say anything intelligent, nor does Takius think about putting on a shirt. It starts with hardcore exposition from the ~~French Maid Fetish Brigade~~ Kafras.

Today's lesson: Geffen's "se-c-ret." Or, as you'll see in a bit, its basic history...which isn't a secret at all, even moreso because they know it AND they're freely telling it to their audience, AND Takius inexplicably knows about it later on. Really.

So, once upon a time, there was a city named Geffenia in the land of...Geffenia. And then lightning destroyed the city.

That's gotta be some pretty badass lightning. It literally sinks some of the buildings.

Suddenly, this other nameless Kafra girl shows up and asks why Geffenia collapsed. Glaris goes like, "Oh, that's a good question!" and proceeds to state that no one knows why Geffenia was destroyed.

Wait a second...*Scrolls up* BUT YOU JUST SAID IT WAS DESTROYED BY LIGHTNING!

This episode is off to a bad start already.

Whether it was lightning or a reason that no one really knows about, "some magicians" repented for whatever sins they committed and made Geffen...somehow on top of the pre-existing Geffenia.

And now, for no good reason at all, the vengeful spirits of the past are turning into Nightmares and Doppelgangers. Maybe they shouldn't have built their city on the ruins of another city.
